BRUSHING:

Gently brush your hair daily to prevent tangling. To avoid pulling or aggressive brushing, start from the ends and work your way to the root. Section off your natural hair from your extensions to properly brush in between. We recommend brushing your hair prior to getting in the shower to avoid tangles. 

WASHING:

Avoid washing every day. Excessive washing could cause damage to the hair and shorten the lifespan. We recommend no more than 1-3 times per week. Rinse with cold water to lock moisture into your cuticle. Always use sulfate-free products. Never, under any circumstance, use purple shampoo on your extensions.

MOISTURIZE:

Apply leave-in moisturizing products on damp hair. We recommend using hair oil twice daily on wet and/or dry hair to keep the ends moisturized and soft to prevent split ends.

STYLING:

Apply heat protectant before the use of hot tools to protect the hair from heat damage. Do not exceed heat setting over 350 degrees. We recommend using the best quality products and styling tools to help maintain the health and life of the extensions.

SLEEPING:

Never go to bed with your hair wet. Hair is weak when wet and can cause trauma to the inner layer of the hair, leaving your extensions prone to breakage and split ends. Always brush your extensions and apply moisturizing serum before bed. 

INSTALLATION:

Please follow the recommended maintenance move-up schedule every 6-8 weeks. Missing these appointments and/or neglecting the recommended hair care could compromise both the quality of your extensions and the health of your natural hair.

SWIMMING:

We do not recommend swimming with your hair extensions as chlorine and salt water can lead to discoloration, damage, tangling, and dryness. If you do choose to swim, please know you are doing so at your own risk. MAISON K is not responsible for refunds or replacements.

SUNSCREEN:

Sunscreen could cause discoloration (hair turning orange) to your hair extensions. Be sure to choose a mineral sunscreen without the ingredient: avobenzone. Please note MAISON K is not responsible for refunds or replacements of any kind if your extensions become discolored.
